This is the second webinar in the Exploring the Use of Biochemical and Sequencing Methods in Newborn Screening Series. This three-part webinar series explores the current uses of sequencing and biochemical technologies in public health newborn screening programs, the advantages and limitations of each approach, future applications of these methods, and the implications of moving forward with sequencing in newborn screening. In this webinar, newborn screening programs shared their experiences with biochemical and sequencing, including the benefits and challenges of each method, recommended practices, and lessons learned.
